CHANGING PERCEPTIONS WITH ANGELS AND DRAGONS FOR SUMMER

As I look up, the pale blue sky is full of fluffy white clouds racing by – like a flock of fat woolly sheep. The clouds seem on a mission – moving determinedly on in one direction. Perhaps they’ll merge to form different shapes and give someone else an alternative cloud story when they also gaze upwards.

I remember walking in London a while back and looking up to discover a world of sculpture and fantasy above my head where a range of impressive terracotta dragons sat commandingly upon rows of chimney pots. As if guardians for their property, they looked down at the passers- by with an air of authority.

What wonderful mythical creatures dragons are. Spiritually thinking, in the Far East, through the ages, dragons have been revered as sacred. There’s also a view that dragon energy is great to engage with for clearing your path and transmuting tired old energy; and yes, for adults and children alike, dragons can fire our imagination for adventure stories.

Of course, I realise we can’t go around looking up all the time – we could bump into a lamp post or another person! The point is, when we do look up, instead of straight ahead or down at the ground, there can be wonderful and unusual things to see, just waiting to be discovered.

One of my favourite films is called ‘The Book Thief’ in which a refugee called Max asks Lisle, the heroine, the question: “If your eyes could speak what would they say?” It made me think, this is the sort of marvellous question an angel might ask of us.

Think about it – how we look can change what we see – where we look can show us something new and creatively different. Importantly, if you could see yourself through the eyes of an Angel ask how would your perceptions change? Would your current view of self and others become more compassionate, less judgmental, more accepting? The Angels would hope so.

This idea is an opportunity to focus on love, listen to the whispers of your soul, tune into your Divine potential, see what lies within waiting to be discovered and shared with the world.
